e46 325ci New brakes, shifting forward at low speed
Discussion
Hello,
Long time lurker first time poster.... never had a car worth mentioning... I am hoping for some advice/help after fitting some new brakes to my 2004 325ci manual, I have fitted Brembo Max discs, Ferodo DS2500 pads, Goodridge braided lines, fresh fancy high temp fluid and 2 new rear calipers.
Since fitting, the car when braking (below 30 mph, light braking, towards traffic lights etc) the car 'shifts' or 'slips' forward very slightly, then slows then slips, slows, slips etc. (sorry, I am not sure what the technical term is).
I followed the bedding in instructions as much as I could on the road for the pads, there is no vibration through the steering wheel, the car slows without drama at higher speeds, the discs look clean, no knocks or noises when braking, car doesn't tug in either direction when braking.
Is this a characteristic of grooved/Brembo max discs or have I done something wrong/broken something?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!
