Hi All,

I have 2005 330i with xenon headlamps, and the right side parking light (angel eye) has blown.
Could anyone recommend a supplier for a replacement bulb?

Is it common for people to upgrade to white LED?

Coincidence - I bought a 2005 E90 330i with Xenons earlier this year!

The passenger sidelight was out, and the car came complete with a pair of angel eyes that the seller "hadn't got around to fitting".

I soon found out why when I started removing bits to get to the light fitting. banghead

So having finally got access I just changed the bulb in the original fitting - I just couldn't face going through all that again for the driver side! rolleyes

Anyway it means I still have a pair of LED ones, no brand on them - probably bought on E-bay.

But if you might be interested in them please message me. thumbup

I upgraded mine on my old E91 to LEDs purchased from Horizon LEDs.

The white LEDs looked significantly better than the OEM yellow halogens, without looking like something out of Max Power.

It is a horrendous job though - means car on stands, wheel off and arch liner out. It was worth it, but thankfully I never had to replace them again.

Thanks guys for the advice.

Just ordered the pre-LCI ones from Horizon.

Mr Tidy - thanks for the offer, but I thought I would stick to a brand others have used.
I was actually going to by Lux ones (highly recommended on forums) but they cost £210! I just paid £42 for the horizon ones, so a big saving!

Hopefully the Horizon ones last!

I replaced mine with the same bulb from ECP.

Bulb cost about £30 though!!

Have had bad experiences with cheap LED things from ebay before, and find the super bright white that seems to come from them is a bit chav.

Was a PITA to replace, wheel off, half the liner off. Hopefully it will last a few years

No problem - I'll just offer them somewhere.

The lack of branding was the other thing that put me off them to be honest!

Good luck fitting them. thumbup

I was going to buy an OEM style fitting from ECP for just over £30, but managed to get the bulb out of the original fitting with a bit of brute force so I only needed a bulb!

Quick update...Horizon did not have 20w in stock, so I upgraded to 40w for £11 more. They will be here soon so I can fit them.

Can anybody tell me where I can buy the wheel arch liner rivets? Even more handy would be the exact part no.

Thanks.

Started to fit drivers side today 40w Horizon LED angel eyes.

Can anybody tell me what the little square box 'thing' is (pic below)? The lights work without it connected and there are no error codes. Does this need to be fitted?

Also, I am little dissappointed with the light output compared the the standard halogen.

Have no idea what the box is - mine didn't come with anything like that.

Also, I agree that the brightness isn't great. I find that very strange, I only had the 20W ones and they were certainly bright enough, and look brighter than yours are.
