BMW Z4G29 - How should I clean it ?
Discussion
Hi everyone,
I recently bought the new BMW Z4 (G29) 20i engine, san fransisco red colour with "caramel" leather interior.
That's a pretty nice car, but I am now having some questions about its cleaning, as this is my first convertible (and especially soft top) car.
May I use classic pressure washing station for my car ? I mean, not to directly clean the top, but for the others parts of the car ? The problem is that even if I only target the body car, the soap will be splashing over the soft top and I am not sure whether it is good or not ?
I would say that's probably not a problem, until I rinse everything at the end with water, including the soft top. Can you confirm this to me
?
By the way, I also read many things about "yearly" maintenance of the top. If I understand well, I should clean the top 1 to 2 times by year with some product like Renovo (+a brush), and I should only care about the water-proofing when it is visible that it's no more working ? (eg : water droplets don't bead anymore).
But, what about "daily" maintenance ? They dit not recommend (in the user's manual) to unfold the top if it's dusty. What can of "dust" ? Should I rinse (let's say once a month) the top with water as a daily cleaning ?
(For information : I only use my car 2 to 3 times by week (100 to 200 km) and the rest of the time it is in a closed garage.)
That's many questions that are probably obvious, but thanks everyone in advance for your answers

Jetwash? Should be fine if you are careful, but I suggest do it at home instead as it'll be safer with a 2 bucket method, decent shampoo etcI recently bought the new BMW Z4 (G29) 20i engine, san fransisco red colour with "caramel" leather interior.

Renovo kit is a decent product thats what I would use or Gtechniq I1. Dusty probably means debris etc getting inside. Buy a soft bristle brush to clean it, use the kit and enjoy the car! But, what about "daily" maintenance ? They dit not recommend (in the user's manual) to unfold the top if it's dusty.
