antifreeze

Can anyone tell me what antifreeze I'd need for my 2007 335i? I remember local specialist telling me once I needed a certain colour for my e46, so assume its a certain type? I got a small leak and need to top up until I can get it done. I believe they cant be mixed so I was told. Thanks

There is NO standard on Colour....go by the spec.

I was actually told by redish motorsport that there is a right colour to put in my old bmw, hence my concern about the right and wrong type and as some with agree on here his knowledge is widely respected. Don't get me wrong, I know nothing about it, it's just what I been told. What are the differences then?

They have different chemicals inside them, sometimes even if the same colour.

All these years it has also been an anti corrosion additive, the anti freeze bit is simple.
