Hi all,

I'm looking at the remapping options for an E46 330d Msport touring and the results seem to vary massively in power and torque and also in reputation for the companies in question. The car in question is ridiculously well maintained and wants for nothing mechanically and will want for nothing as in my opinion the car is way more my cup of tea than an E90 series. It's had an EGR delete, a vortex crankcase breather, but runs stock intake and exhaust

6 speed manual box, with recent clutch and dual mass flywheel replacement.

I'm not looking for silly power, definitely do not want lots of black smoke out the exhaust but ideally, circa 250-260bhp and around 400lb ft would probably suit me down to the ground. The car is 100% a road car, but I want more grunt for 3rd and 4th gear overtakes etc.

I'm happy to consider things like a sports cat and intercooler upgrade, and am happy to pay for a proper rolling road remap once items are fitted.

Does anyone have any recommendations for remappers in the south east with a good reputation? Ideally ones who do it properly to that specific car on a rolling road?

Afraid I don’t know of any South East remappers. Re sports cat, upgraded intercooler and egr delete, none of these are needed on an E46 330d to make good power and torque.

Not in the South, but I had the same car (as mentioned, no need for intercooler and exhaust for good power) running 250/260 hp / 500Nm for over 75k miles and 4 years without issue.

I had my map done by End Tuning http://www.endtuning.com/. Highly recommended.

BW Chiptune tend to be my recommendation. Based in Hayes.

GKR Performance

Formally GBW tuning is very well respected in the E60 world and has agents all over as he's based in Oswestry.

BW Chiptune in Hayes as already mentioned. Jason has a good reputation and specialises in BMW's.

DMS in Southampton are great but will charge loads compared to others.
