E63 6 series USB & aux

Hi all, I recently purchased a 6 series and have the tune2air y cable for aux and USB input bt music streaming..

The dongle works fine, steering wheel controls included. However the aux port is intermittent and most of the time on the nearside speakers work. If the connector is wiggled it goes on and off. So my query is does anyone know the best way to replace the offending socket / connector? I expect I will need to dismantle the armrest where the phone cradle is but not sure where to begin...

Any ideas?

Check a website called new tis info. Type it all in as one word. Hopefully the guide is there. It’s easy to dismantle. The jack pops out once you have access. Before this you could potentially try some contact cleaner in the socket to see if it helps. It won’t hurt to give it a go but at that age it is likely to be the socket.
