Change of job means I'm only travelling low miles and looking for a F30 BMW 330i auto saloon.
I've noticed that the 2017 models are listed as 252 HP and 420Nm, but the 2018 models seem to be listed as 248 HP and 330 Nm.
I know the later ones are RDE compliant, but over 20% reduction in torque and both appear to have the same CO2 emissions?
Anybody have any knowledge of these.

Isn’t the higher torque version actually the 330e? A turbo’ed 4 plus an electric motor, compared to a straight 6 petrol 330I?
Though, I’m no expert so happy to be corrected!

330e is a 4 cyl petrol+electric motor.

They are both 4cyl petrol, only the 340i is a 6 cyl petrol now. The 330i and 328i have been 2.0 4 cyl turbo since 2011.

The 330i had 258lbft (349nm) torque. As said above, the 330e has 310lbft (420nm)

Just to confirm, the cars I'm looking at are 330i, not the 330e. I've also just noticed the emissions have gone up on the RDE models. If you search on the AUC site for 330i, then check the specs.
Also I've just noticed similar reductions for the 320i.

The 420 nm is definitely a typo for the 2017 330i.

On the first/2017 car, 140 mph doesn’t look correct with 252hp.

It really should be Ibs/ft...I hate Nm because I've only ever been used to Ibs/ft. What is the obsession with Nm now after years of Ibs/ft?

Mat Watson always uses Nm on his carwow videos and it drives me mad!

He is probably stating metric HP (PS) as well, hence using Nm rather than the imperial measure.
