BMW Individual audio recognition

Hi. I'm looking for an e92 m3 with the high end audio fitted. My understanding is the way to define this is by a silver circle around the speakers in the front door cards.
However I've seen a few cars described with this option fitted with black speaker surrounds.
Please help the uninitiated.

I recall silver from my 335 with I/Audio.
I've just seen a E92 M3 with silver.
But play 100% safe and get the build sheet (VIN decoder, using last 7 digits) would be my advice.
IA is brilliant, like having the band in the car with you.

Thread revival. Is this really worth seeking out on a used car over one fitted with hk?

Crikey , where have the last 14 months gone since I replied to the thread : and what a different world.

I don’t think I would pass on an otherwise “perfect” car for better audio . But as I said before it is excellent and a few people I’ve helped with their M3 search ,this last year, have got it and fully appreciated it.
