What is the part called on a bmw 1 series

Hi guys,
I was recently involved in a minor road traffic collision and need to replace my drivers side wing mirror glass and the bit on the window (black bit) where it is attached to as it is cracked. What is this part called?
Also would anyone know how much the wing mirror glass would cost to replace and any ideas what that black part is called.

Is the Black bit, not part of the mirror assembly ?

Pop the last bit of your VIN into realoem.com and browse through to vehicle trim - suggest it’s called Mirror Triangle.

Hi, no it looks like it’s attached to the window it’s like a triangle shape.

Thank you, that is a better description then what I have tried to describe, and sounds about right. I shall do what you have suggested with the VIN

The triangle you talk of.... Is it the bit you can see at the end, attached to the mirror ?
