Hi,

Cars currently on my staggered set up ,Run flats 225/45 18 and 255/40 r18 - Getting some decent RFs is a pita, Can i just throw some Eagle F1's in the same size on there without being runflats or will i run into trouble?

Many thanks

Apologies for the crap thread title...

No issues with non RFTs , but I’ve always been told by BMW, tire manufacturers and retailers (and there’s plenty supporting posts on this site) that with X Drive you should stick with * marked aka BMW approved.

Thanks.

I'm on camskill and the Eagle F1 3 has the * - So a similar size tyre as I have and all should be okay?

I have the F1 3 in * in the 19” staggered sizes, and they are fine. Quiet and as comfortable as a 19” low profile tyre can be.

  • marked non RFTs will be fine.
But when you say similar , if changing anything other then load / speed rating best to confirm with the retailer.

Goodyear efficient grip do that size, star-marked and run flats. I have gone to them in exactly those in sizes (from 19” Pirelli’s).
