Hopefully someone knowledgable can help with this...

Im looking at a 2014 520d with the standard screen sat nav and the service indicator has the following:

17k miles 2015 and Green OK
33k miles 2016 and Green OK
50k miles 2018 and Orange exclamation mark
51k miles 2018 and Orange OK

I should note each of these entries has BMW 08682 recorded beside them.

I understand the green OK means the serices have been done by and correclty logged by BMW on the IDrive but what do the orange exclamation mark and OK mean on the Idrive service log?

thanks for your help

Have you clicked on the 50K service to see further info?

As said above , click on the screen to see a further screen of what work was actually done.
The number 086 .... is the code of the BMW dealer who performed the service.

“orange (actually amber) ok” means it was done a little bit late (either after due date or required mileage) ; I’ve seen that a few times.

I don’t know what “amber !” means and it’s strange to see this just before “amber ok “1k miles later??

I’ve been told by BMW service that “amber ok “ does not affect warranty if that’s an issue for you.

Best thing would be to get car taken into dealership , they’ll read key and clarify what’s up with history.

A typical car would need oil service within first 2 years or set miles usually circa 18k and this cycle repeats and various filters are also changed .
Brake fluid is firstly after 3 years and then biannually.
By it’s mileage it should have had a vehicle check too. This is the sort of information you’ll see in the next screens for the service entries you itemised.
