Help with 430d specification

I'm toying with the idea of a 430d M Sport and hopefully someone knows a bit more about the spec than me!

I believe the iDrive changed from iDrive 5 to 6 at some point and then 7 with the LCI, anyone know when 5 changed to 6 and how to tell from an internal photo which version a car has? Also were LED rear clusters only on the LCI or on some cars before that?

Idrive 7 is only on the latest generation cars (is the new 3/1 series that have just launched).

The 4 series will have either idrive 4/5/6.

Idrive 4 has everything layed out in a menu arrangement and the colours look a bit old fashioned.

Idrive 5 came with the LCI (which I think was late 16/early 17) and the front menu all the tiles are all visible in a line and pop out when highlighted.

Idrive 6 I believe came around the MY18 updates on most BMWs which is roughly 67 plate onwards, and this has large tiles that you scroll along to view each one.

LED rear lights were added for the LCI (you can spot the difference easily).

Also cars with business nav all looked like idrive 4 until MY18 when the interface was updated to look like the idrive 6 on pro nav.

One more question..... I assume all cars with pro nav are capable of hands free Bluetooth connection but are they all capable of Bluetooth music streaming too?

More important than the iDrive - make sure the suspension and wheel size are the best spec. As I've mentioned on here before, 19" wheels on MSport passive suspension is in my opinion unacceptable in terms of dynamics and comfort. Adaptive suspension with 18" wheels is much better.

I’m not sure on 4 series but on 3 series if it had pro nav streaming became standard at a certain point (perhaps when nbt idrive 4 was introduced) so not sure if the same on the 4 series as I don’t think it ever had the pre-nbt idrive like the 3 series did. If it has idrive 5 it will 100% have streaming.
