X3 rear suspension alignment issues
Discussion
I have just taken my 2013 3.0D Msport X3 in to the local tyre fitter to have a high speed vibration looked at. I suspected one of the wheels had lost a wheel weight. They looked at all 4 wheels and found that the inner shoulder of both rear tyres was down to the cords :-0. Most of the rest of the tyres were at about 4mm tread.
I was astonished. Obviously i need to get an alignment done and new tyres. I am booked in for thursday and have parked the car up. Anyone got any experience of this. I have had the car about 2.5 years and had new tyres and tracking a out 18 months ago.
I normally drive on my own but about once a month I am towing a race car trailer with a boot full of kit in the back of the car (awning, spare wheels, tools etc).
Any suggestions on what can be done to prevent re-occurrence?
Cheers

BMW's are very sensitive to alignments, hense why many advice a full Hunter 4 wheel jobby on them.
My E91 use to wear its shoulders badly, since its had a hunter alignment done - its perfect (i get this done every year/30,000 miles).
Slightest jolt can knock them out I have found, which is why mine is an annual thing.
