E64 Intermittent hesitation in acceleration

I have an annoying intermittent fault that affects my 2006 BMW 630i Conv (258BHP engine) which usually occurs when in a sharp turn, as I straighten out and try to accelerate away there is a couple of seconds where the car seems fuel starved and the revs die and the car hesitates. Is this a common fault, and has anyone else experienced the same issue ? Many thanks
