While driving on the motorway my accelerator pedal was pushing up against me and slowed the car down then seconds later it released, minute or two late happened again, felt like I did not have control as I was losing power briefly. This happened a few times in the space of 10 minutes then slowed right down so pulled over to the hard shoulder where the car stopped as when I put it in parking mode the car was unable to start again as the break pedal had no give on it so was unable to start the car back up. The hazard lights (drivers side ) kept going off. The recover guy could not get the brake pedal down to initial the start up so had to tow onto the truck. Electrics were seen at time as reason.

Stratstone informed me my issue was fuel contamination, no evidence of tampering and fuel provider all ok, my partner used the same diesel at same place On the same day with same pump, his car ok and no other customer issues.
I explained fuel ok, did not explain loss of power with pedals, lights etc.
Over £600 spent charged me for empty of tank, filter and pump.
After travelling approx 5 miles round town over the next 4 days same issue with pedals, car kept slowing, tension on accelerator as before. I immediately stopped the car as I was near home, called BMW assistance and they called technicians out. Multiple electrical faults found.
Took to a different garage at my request, diagnostic revealed many electrical faults, replacements parts (gear shaft paddles )
Garage verified the existing electrical issues were almost certainly the reason for the. breakdown days earlier.
Stratstone deny this, said no faults found it was a fuel issue.
Clearly this is not the case, I've purchased from these for 16 yrs and feel mortified as I replace my car every too years existing one now 2 years old. I feel robbed
Any thought people as they basically tell me to get over it and accept what they say

Appreciate any advice

Sounds like a software issue. Take it back again.

Write them a letter asking for your money back.

If they ignore it use moneyclaimonline to sue them.

The BMW Assistance techs are highly skilled. I'd definitely trust their diagnosis over the dealers on this one, as has been proven.

I recommend one of these. It may even tell you (and us) what model/year the car is.
