BMW 3 series - G20 - PCH/ PCP deal? Help
Discussion
Hi all!
I’m planning to get at PCH or PCP deal. This is going to be my first car lease on a car and I really need some advice.
I know the difference between them. I tend to go for the PCP and to choose a nearly new car with some nice packages. I found them around £25-27K.
I usually drive around 10K per year...
320i or 320d are quite similar- my commute is 50miles a day mainly A and B roads.
Paying 3-5K deposit and £300 a month with a baloon payment if I still want the car wouldn’t make sens for such a big deposit...?
“Bit” confused on what to do.
Any advice will be mich apreciated.
Thank you

Hi .....oh boy I will get the popcorn out .my stepson works for Honda he always says PCH is the way to go.
Me I had a 4 year PCP which most people do time wise You forget that in year 4 you will not have a warranty and you will still be months off getting out of negative equity if you want to PX at the end of year 3. PCH you have to hand car back with my PCP I carried on and got 2 years finance as I didnt really know what else I wanted.
Thing is with the final balloon payment the more miles you contract for the less the GFV is so mine was only £9000 as I had it on 22k a year. I think on the normal mileage rates ie 8/10k a year its a lot higher so the refinance is probably prohibitive
I dont think there is a definitive answer but will be good to read the views

£1,000 down and £300 a month will get you into a 420i M Sport at the moment on PCH. Check out the lease deals thread: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...I’m planning to get at PCH or PCP deal. This is going to be my first car lease on a car and I really need some advice.

If your getting it on PCP or PCH remapping probably isn't a great idea.
You can get a map for that you can put on/off whenever. Search Bootmod3 to see just what you can do with your phone these days.
I would guess 95% of new cars that are mapped are on PCP or something.
I will probaly look for a good PCH deal.. even if I found good deals on PCP nearly new g20 xdrive diesel on bmw used website.
M sport plus
Comfort
Tech/ visibility
Under 10k miles
Under £29K
Do I really need xdrive? :/
I need to check full comp inssurance do for a car which I don’t own...
Ideea of remaping sounds good but I know myself.. I’m I wouldn’t take the risk..

It was £250 more over the term as it lowered the car payments. I have to do one service and if the tyres are ok the edge I'm well up.
Peace of mind too
I will take it in the consideration. For the peace of mind at least and some drifting Peace of mind too

Deals taken from a known website - In the meanwhile I asked Arval for the deals.
The most cost effective will be the 320i

L.E. after few other calculations..
Taking a second hand BMW 320D with 30 Months warranty left + Comfort Package+ Technology package Under 10K mileage leaves me with the following numbers.. Am I trying to convince my self that buying a second hand with option of paying ballon at the end is better?

I`m aware of extra costs as MOT and maintanance.
How much will cost to service a BMW..? until hitting the 40K Mileage.
