Hello all,
I am considering sending (what is for me) quite a chunk on a 320i Xdrive.
The car is moderately high milage, just shy of 80,000. Is this a concern for these motors? Is there anything in particular to look for?
The car is BMW approved used, so that gives me a certain amount of piece of mind, certainly for the first year.
TIA,
Jimmy

Hi Jimmy,
Whether you need X Drive may depend on where you live, but if you may encounter snow and ice you'd probably do just as well with an S Drive with winter tyres - they worked brilliantly for me on my E91 last year when the Beast from the East arrived!
From what I have read 320is have some issues, which may be why my E9*s have been a 325i (disappointing) followed by a 330i (much better)! And it came with a set of winters.
