Hi All!

Ive recently purchased an E30 and it currently has the standard drums as the rear brakes. I was wondering what peoples reccomendations are for a disk conversion? what kinds of kits are available and what people have done with theirs!

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

Not much to add tbh, but what makes you want to change them? The rear drums aren’t bad unless they are corroded or leaking, it’s a fairly light car with a lowing power engine - I wouldn’t think extra braking on the rear axle would be necessary

A pair of rear trailing arms is needed- 325i's all had discs as do 318i/320i Tourings etc. Don't go for 5 stud E36 or Z3 arms, too much aggro. You'll need flexy pipes and handbrake cables but it's a good excuse to replace them after 30 years or so.

Drums are fine for a 318i tbh.
