BMW F30 3 Series Service Intervals
Discussion
I'm in the market for one of these at the moment and have found one that could be the right blend of spec and price.
It's a 2017 car with around 28k miles. The I-Drive says that the car has had one service at 11/07/18 @ 15128 miles. The seller said the car's display says that the next service is due in 7000 miles. Does anyone know if this sounds right or should the car have had another service? I've tried to search for the answer online but BMW's website is only interested in booking you in for a service rather than telling you when it needs it.
Are these cars on long life servicing? If it's 2 years and 18k miles then the numbers above would sound about right...

Sounds about right , it’s 2 years or a set mileage up to circa 18k for oil services. So yours had it’s first oil service around 15k which is what I find normal for my driving style. Or maybe it was done a little early for convenience. It's a 2017 car with around 28k miles. The I-Drive says that the car has had one service at 11/07/18 @ 15128 miles. Next one is due 2 years after or a set mileage , in this case to make it 35 (28 plus 7) 20k which is not unheard of.
The brake fluid service is 3 years from build date so won’t be due yet. The vehicle check is also around 3 years I think.
I have a 2017 340i on 22k miles. Second oil service due around 33k miles. Similar

I know the car tells you when it wants oil, vehicle check, front pads, rear pads etc....
But with regards to microfilter or air/fuel filters, I gather it’s a case of presenting your key to the dealer.
That aside, has anyone worked out ‘roughly’ when the dealer has stated you need a microfilter or air/fuel filters ? A 335D in my case.

My 335d had its microfilter changed at the first (oil) service. But with regards to microfilter or air/fuel filters, I gather it’s a case of presenting your key to the dealer.

BMW Service Intervals have been Time/Condition based for a long time.
I bought a pre-registered 123d in 2008 with a Service Pack and it had it's 1st service at 18,169 miles, 2nd at 36,776, 3rd at 54,677 all based on what the OBC said - with the Service Pack BMW wouldn't do it early!
My current 55 plate E90 had an oil service in March 2019 at 107K miles, and although it has now done 112K miles the OBC is showing another 13K miles until the next one! Although it will need one in March 2021 on a time basis because I don't put that many miles on it.
I wouldn't be concerned OP.
