I've just completed a 1,400 mile round trip to the Alps in my 2015 X5 F15. Approx 200 miles into France I noticed a slight vibration north of 70mph, that was more apparent on the passenger side. It was nothing too bad, more irritating. There was no steering wheel vibration, no vibration in the brake pedal or anything untoward under breaking or acceleration

I checked tyre pressures and wheel nuts and all was fine.

We continued our journey and completed the return with no issues other than this slight vibration. I didn't get any worse throughout the journey and occasionally almost disappeared.

I'm assuming it is most likely to be a wheel balance issue, perhaps as a result of loosing a wheel weight, but am wondering if it could be caused by something else like a where bearing.

Does anyone have any similar experience?

I should say that I've had the car for 2 years and driven around 18K miles without noticing this before

If it is wheel balance it will tend to be at or above a certain speed and disappear below. Does that happen? If so, likely to be balance.

Wheel balance I reckon too.

These show up badly with nothing really through the steering wheel when even slightly out.

My F11 had it bad and it was 5 gram out on the front nearside wheel.

Got someone to spend a good hour getting them all perfect and now it is perfect.

Thanks for your replies guys. Looks like we're all arriving at the same conclusion. Will drop into my local tyre shop and get them to take a look
