BMW E46 bucket seat fitting HELP
Discussion
Hello folks
I've been building an E46 330ci track car over the winter and it is now time for bucket seats. I decided to go second hand and to find a good seat, which I have. They are Cobra Monaco bottom mounted seats.
After a lot of research, I still haven't found a definitive way of bolting these seats in my car. I'm not bothered about having runners, but I don't want to be sat too low for obvious reasons.
Has anyone here fitted bucket seats to an E46? If so, how?
Thanks all
PB

Hi, yes I’ve a pair of Cobra Suzaka seats that I fitted in an E46 Compact last year. I bought a specific pair of Cobra side mounts for the E46 as they are designed to keep the seats close to the centre console & bolt straight into the original seat mounting points with a number of different holes to allow you to choose how close to the steering wheel you sit - if you search using “cobra seats bmw e46 side mounts” there’s a pair on Fleabay to illustrate the difference between the left/right sides.
PS the side mounts have various height settings to allow you to choose the seat height and the Monaco should have holes for the side mounts, even if they’re hidden behind the fabric slightly.
