I bought a 1999 316i 7 months ago as my first car, been driving fine since just a slight coolant leak that I have been meaning to get fixed.

But recently when pulling away in first the car judders? It seems to be only when pulling away, this has started ever since the other day I let the car get quite low on petrol. It feels as if you’re not giving it enough revs, but the more revs you give it the worse it seems.
Also often on a start up the revs will go up by itself.

It only seems to be when the car is warm? As I drove it this morning was fine for about 10 minutes then the juddering started, anyone have any ideas?

Could that be clutch judder? It's where the clutch plates don't wear evenly I believe

My 2016 M140i with 35k miles on it does this when warm. It's done it for ages and any research I do online suggests it might just be some form of build up on the clutch plates, some people slip the clutch to wear it off. I just ignore it and give it a few more revs when I pull away

my 335 does it sometimes, it was my old Impreza's that you do it loads and that was where I learned the cause, well that's what it was on those, but im sure there could be other reasons for it
