Hi, has anyone had there pcv heater melt?
Bmw call it:
Angle connector
11618638014

Part number 7
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=UF92...

I have a 130 but it effects other models.
There seems to have been a recall for it in America but no mention of it over here. Have searched the forum but found nothing.

I got a check engine light this morning with codes:
P0031 - HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low bank 1 sensor 1
P0051 - HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low bank 2 sensor 1
P0037 - HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low bank 1 sensor 2
P0057 - HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low bank 2 sensor 2

This led me to this page: https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t...

I looked through the intake with a torch to find a charred and melted angled valve and a burnt through wires!
Lucky it didn't go any further.

The "angle connector" is £66 from BMW, can't find a part number for my melted part of the loom so looking for a complete one on ebay.
Looks like I am going to have to remove the intake, so will probably replace intake gaskets anything else to consider?

over engineed and unnecessarily complicated? No, not BMW. the venturi effect can be utilised in conjunction with a one-way valve to provide constant depression as opposed the the PCV system which only operates under manifold vacuum.
