2007 325i Cabriolet had a new alternator fitted and battery in boot disconnected and boot closed by owner... doh.
Have tried manual key release 180 degree anti clockwise and nothing. Have attached jump leads to engine bay power points but still can’t power up car to open boot, because battery is still disconnected in the locked boot.

So spent hour removing rear seat and panels but no access possible thru car.

So any tips on how I can energise car to unlock ?

I read through this thread: https://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5...
The first page is depressing, but on the second & third pages they reckon that you need to attach the negative lead to 'a good grounding point' to make sure the jump cables are effective. They even show the point where to attach the neg cable.
Finally I'm not sure the european cars have the emergency boot release. Pretty sure they don't.

Thank you for the reply.. checked out your link and got some great tips.
Update:
Connected jump pack to under bonnet points and energised but system still dead... connected jump pack to alternator and good ground... still dead
Connected jump pack to starter and still no system power... remember the boot battery earth connection is disconnected...

Access through the rear seats near on impossible as steel plate across bulkhead (it’s a hardtop cabriolet) and key has no effect on lock.

Fixed:
What worked was accessed fascia fuse box and run a 12v feed to 40amp fuse & earth to body directly then system powered on and electric lock opened the boot lid.

Thanks for your tips 😀👍🏻
