G30/G31 BMW ID6 + Digital Driver's Display Retrofit

Have been in the search for a used G31 540i for a while now but have had no luck. They're not all too common and as I don't like to change cars often I tend to be quite picky spec-wise and have not seen one that has been even close to what I would be willing to change into from my current car. Which leaves only the option of a new order. Discounts are mega at the moment and with my spec choice it would be staying with me for a good while.

I like everything about the car but have found out that from late last year all 5'ers will come with ID7 and the new live cockpit (the angular one where the rev counter goes from right to left).

Now I could well get over it, but I've seen it first on a 3 series when it was released and I think it's got uglier and more annoying with time and as it's something that is in constant view, I'm not sure I'd manage long-term.

Any idea on whether first of all it's possible to retrofit the previous version with ID6. If so, rough costs on parts and coding?

I'm afraid I have nothing useful to add, except I'm with you in your hatred of the new dials. Why in this day and age of screens and stuff you can't have it customisable I don't know. I'd have BMW dials, circa 2001, as my set up!
