I’m thinking of changing the steering wheel on on E64 - just buying a refurbished version of the same wheel. I’m assuming it’s simply take one off and fit the new one or will there need to be some coding involved does anyone know?

No coding needed. Make sure keys are out before removing airbag. Some like to disconnect the battery neg. (Don’t shut boot if you do) Choice is yours.

Talk to jack at Royal Steering wheels. Refurbed my 650 steering wheel at 70k miles. Jack increased the padding so the wheel was thicker and softer, so a lot more comfortable to use.
I sold the car at 201k miles and steering was still like new. I believe he now does exchange wheels.
