Hi all,

Hope you don't mind me asking - I did try to have a look through the forum but couldn't find anything.

I'm probably insulting most of you by saying I'm going to get one of the new FWD 1 series on lease. The quote for maintenance works out at £900 over the 3 years.

Would anybody recommend the plan or am I best to avoid? I've heard BMW garages are expensive but how much servicing can a brand new BMW that will do 10k a year at max need?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if you can take them out on a leased car, I thought they were just for "bought" cars.

Are you leasing direct from BMW or a third party?

£900 over 3 years on a 1 series ...they are pulling your pants down !

Service is every 2 years or as dictated by the car..generally every 17-21,000 miles.which comes first

Brake fluid change after 3 years.

Thats all you will get for your £900 !

I suspected that might have been the case, very much appreciate the response!

BMW were doing 3 yrs/ 36000 mile service packs for £399 on the 1 series until recently until people realised it was cheaper just to pay

Normally on leases the maintenance package includes tyres aswell. Unless you are doing very low mileage you will probably need a set of fronts which will be around 180-250 each as they will need to be runflats and BMW star rated.

So 900 over 3 years you are basically covering your costs on a monthly if it does include tyres.

Not for this bmw model. F40 1 series don't come with run flats.
