Are the laser lights the only way to get high beam assist (hba). I do a lot of night driving and the adaptive lights on my f30 have hba.

I can’t find any mention of hba on normal adaptive light.

Thanks

I picked up a G20 with adaptive lights last Saturday. I foolishly assumed high beam assist would be standard these days, but no. If you want it, with any trim level, you have to add the visibility pack at £1500.

I’ve had HBA on my last four (VAG) cars and I like it, but for £1500 I don’t mind going back to the old ways.

I think they are only available with visibility pack. I’ve got HBA on my G21 but I’ve got the laser lights which are a big step on from my old F31 model.

The adaptive lights on the G20 are not the same as the F30. On the F30 they had HBA and did the auto reduction on one headlight etc but on the G20 they just move around corners.

I had use of a 330d with Vis pack (Laser lights) last summer and the lights seemed superb on the one short occasion I got to use them.

Apparently high beam assist can be coded into the adaptive LED headlights .. the necessary equipment is already installed.

If you look at list of standard equipment, it lists "Oaas prep high-beam assist"

I think you can buy it from the connected drive store but VIN specific, says it starts at £160.

Old thread but good to know. What next? Heated seats subscription in the winter months?!
