Help drive train error

Just wondering if anybody knew or has experience a issue with drive train. The error message came up with a restricted speed of 40mph on my 1 series 118i Msport. The car was shaking while I was driving it and I couldn’t go into any more that 3rd gear. The dealer is looking at it. I’m a bit concerned as I’ve only done 5000 mile total. What could this be?
