Hi, i have replaced my steering angle sensor in my BMW X5 E53, i reset the fault code and the DSC light goes off, the problem is when i turn off the engine and leave the car for about 20 seconds and restart the car the light stays on again. it will clear every time i reset the fault code

can anyone advise how i rectify this. i have a C110 scanner tool

many thanks

Do you have access to INPA? It's a calibration that's required, not fault code removal. I have no idea if you can do that with a C110, but you 100% can with INPA. I'm in Hertfordshire if that's any use?

Buy a DCAN cable & it should come with INPA. Where abouts in Spain? I head to Valencia/Alicante a fair bit (although not recently).

I did the same on mine - try turning the steering lock to lock a couple of times, that should recalibrate the sensor.
