E46 climate control

With the car locked etc the air con/climate is still running. This has started today.
I have disconnected the battery to avoid it draining as it’s about to be locked in the garage for 3 weeks whilst I’m away.
Any ideas what this issue is pls?

Control panel or the 'hedgehog' resistor up the spout being two most likely. Neither are pricey fixes and a control panel can be changed in 5 minutes flat.
