Hi,

I am new to the forum and would need to know your experience and feedback.

I have a 2008 VW Passat 2.0 TDI 140hp. With 192.000kms.
I have now the chance to get a BMW 320d ED from June 2015 with 60k kms that has been driven by a work colleague and is a lease car very well maintained and with no issues at all.

My question is, is that car worth it? Should I expect major issues with it?
And in the end, is it worth it to keep the Passat instead?

Many thanks in advance for your replies and feedback!

Welcome to the forum smile

I guess it's about your personal circumstances and usage etc

The 320 will depreciate so factor that in, doubt the passat has much further to go wink

Have you driven it?

I just sold an F31 330d so not a direct comparison but I can say it was an immensely capable car.

Hi @bmk,

Thanks for the reply. I have not driven it. I just learned that the price will be 17.000eur. My colleague has not had any issues with it at all, but I was exactly wondering about this, if problems could start now.
Of course I can ask for a test drive as she already offered me so.

Thanks.

We had a 2016 320d ED Touring from New until last year and put 120k miles (193km) on it

It was faultless with just regular servicing and very economical getting 60 + mpg on the motorway/runs.

Overall average over 120k miles was 56mpg

Tyres are 16” ( in U.K. ) and last forever. The benefit of non runflats and big sidewalks is excellent ride quality although it loses at bit of sharpness

I’d certainly recommend it’s an excellent milemuncher and I’d definitely have another one

It replaced a Merc C220d Se which I’d say just edged it on quality but it’s a very good package

Edit ours had the 8 speed auto, Nav, leather, heated seats. I’d certainly recommend the auto it’s superb

I will test the car over the weekend. Let's see how it goes, and then I will need to see what I do.
