To cut a long story short, car was hit while parked, in the process of getting the parts together although I am stuck on the headlight.

The car is a 2007 plate e92 330d (SE), from what I can tell the headlights on the car are xenon is that correct? there seems to be so many variants on google and ebay, LCI, pre LCI, E91 E93, halogen, xenon.

Can anyone confirm what I have got from the pictures, and any recommendations what I can replace it with, any decent aftermarket part I could fit, prices seem extortionate on ebay.

Cheers.

Putting your Vin number in a decoder on the web will give you a list of the options and equipment your car has.
Putting the last 7 digits in realoem.com will help you finding part numbers you can search auction sites and breakers yards with.

Same thing happened to me several years ago - nice little surprise when coming back to the station car park.

In the end I went with a new replacement from BMW at around £800 all in - all that had broken on mine was the clip inside the engine bay but it comes as a single unit. This was the least hassle route, second hand prices weren't much cheaper and I decided I didn't want the hassle of replacing it myself...
