I have owned an ALPINA B7 since 2012, however for a host of reasons it has taken a lot of baby sitting and suffered a few issues, some caused by dealers. Have you had one? Is it still all worth it?

I've had an 2015 F32 D4 BiTurbo for a year. While writing this will probably jinx it, it has been problem free in the year and 12,000 miles I've put on it, although I have only had it serviced by specialist indies, not main BMW dealers. It does everything I need to do and more, and putting in sport mode removes any cares in the world I may have.

The only down side is it seems to be attracted to pot holes like I'm attracted to cold lager on a hot day. I've wrecked 5 tyres in the 12 months; fortunately I got tyre insurance after the 3rd and the 4th & 5th were covered by the insurance.

I do need to think about what I do with it though, Covid means I'm taking a new job with potentially a lot more driving. The car will cope with it I'm sure, I just need to do the maths on the finance agreement.

You're not the Norrie from the Alpina Register are you?

Always had a thing for Alpinas, and would love to own/cherish one as a second car sometime.

Theyvare so useable, so the mileages usually reflect this. There was an e28 based alpina at auction recently with over 300,000 miles on if!

I am indeed Norrie from the ALPINA register and the owner and shared moderator for the FB group Genuine ALPINA Owners in which we have more than 1000 owners from Europe who have supplied their card details to register.
