Hey, i've recently bought BMW E90 LCI 2011, and after buying it i realised that the bluetooth is not working, it's stuck on "Please wait!" screen and the loading icon, aux and usb port in the armrest is not working either. What could be wrong? Do i need to get new combox or is it possible to fix ?
Only the USB port in glovebox is working.

I really appreciate your help.

There is a hub under the carpet on the passenger front, check that is not covered in water.

On the floor itself?

Where your feet sit, just in front of the seat rail towards the transmission tunnel.

Unless your later one lost that and all done through the head unit?

Hold on, have you got nav?

Try doing a reset on it.

Search google on how.

OK.

The USB in the glove box goes straight to the head unit, it is not on the MOST fibre optic ring that everything else is connected to.

Your aux, bluetooth, dab, amp, etc. are all on this most ring.

Has anything been done to your car at all recently?

There are certain places where your most ring connects together.

There is a port under the glove box, this has an end on it that has coupler attached.
Basically the ring is a a fibre optic ring, at this point there is a loop that you can unplug and attach diagnostics too. This has been known to come off breaking the ring and you lose everything.

I would check here first.

With the radio one also look at the fibre end and make sure you can see a red light on one of the fibre lines. You will then know the nav unit is actually giving out an optical signal.

If not remove the radio and check the connector at the back. Make sure nothing is lose.

If it is move the boot.

Under the rear floor you have your bluetooth module, unplug the fibre connector going into that and make sure you still have a fibre light there.

If you do at that point you need to try and borrow another MULF Hi unit as yours is probably goosed. This does your bluetooth and your usb from memory.

If you PM me the last 7 digits of your vin I can see what options you have fitted, hoepfully there is something else on the most bus, if so we can do another test.

But try the above first.

I thought on a 2011 car it was all on the headunit & there is no separate bluetooth module. Assuming of course it's the non i-Drive car.
This sort of appearance:

On some cars the Bluetooth combox is under the boot trim. Have a look under the carpet and it can be found there.

Well I think the port that you are talking about in my car is under the steering wheel, not under the glove box, i checked it and it has a red blinking light. But, when i checked optic fiber of the combox which is in the trunk, i didnt see any blinking red light, so what else should i check? To check radio i have to take half of my interior off? 😁 (radio works perfectly fine if that changes something.. )

OK, so you have the signal coming from the cic head unit. Good.

That port, was there a connector on the end of it? Or is the panel the connector?

I 'think' that most cable should be plugged into something like this..

Make sure it has not come out.

With the car powered up, does the combox have a light blinking?
You may need to get someone to turn the car on while you are looking as not sure if the unit will go to sleep again quickly of the most connector is not attached.

Yeah, that cable is plugged to the same thing as you showed in the pictures and it looks fitted perfectly fine. Well i might look stupid, but Just to be sure, which cable of the combox is the optical fiber one?

The one with the two green cables.

You have a large plug with 20-30 wires going in and then another one with two green fibre cables.

This is a 7 series and has bluetooth and combox I think it is, but you can see the green most cables..

Was the combox blinking as well?

It may only blink for the first few seconds as you turn the ignition on.

Nope, the combox itself is not blinking, only the cable is.

Is that with someone else turning the car off and then on while looking in the port?

If so, sounds like it is goosed.

Take a picture of the label and have a look on eBay, usually around £50 for one.

Get one the same date if possible.

But do make sure someone has turned the ignition on while looking, it may only blink quickly 3 times and then stop if not on the fibre loop.

Edit: In fact. simply undo the main harness from the combox, then plug it back in will looking at the most port for any blinks.
That will also reset it.
Better way of doing it.

And, look at the fuse chart and check fuses relating to radio, nav, aux etc. It may be a blown fuse.

Yeah, my friend turned the ignition on and off a couple of times while i was looking at the combox port, didnt see any blinking lights at all. Also tried to completely unplug the combox, still not working.
Tried to find an used combox, but can't find any with the same code. Do any other codes would fit?
I can only find comboxes with different code and for over 100€ (im from Lithuania) ??

Edit : uhhh i only checked one fuse so far and it was fine, should i still check nav fuse even if the nav is working perfectly fine?
One day i touched the combox and it was kinda hot, is that normal?

This page will give you all the part numbers to search for, and as I read it any of them should be ok

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partxref?q=841092...

This page shows 2 of your part number available worldwide, but Ebay is acting up and won't take me to either item. You may have better luck. I would be amazed if there aren't any available from car breakers in Lithuania

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_n...
