Sat Nav Map Updates - E63 6 Series and R56 MINI
Discussion
Primarily a question re my Sister's R56 MINI but I suppose also applicable to my E63 630i as I presume both similar (the same?) underlying DVD based hardware.
Her Nav DVD is 2008-2 (Road Map Europe Professional) and she wants to upgrade to more recent maps.
Can she simply buy a 2015 disc such as this on on eBay, slot it in and good to go?
I've read that it may require a trip to the dealer to update the nav software to allow the later discs to run.
Appreciate if anyone point me in the right direction (half hearted sat nav joke).
TIA
