E60 floor Mats looking tabs question.

I’m done with the cheep Velcro E60 Velcro tans in my car.

I’ve seen some on eBay with the old style holes for E39 type tabs in them.

Will the older type E39 type locking pins fit?

What’s in the carpet, if anything?

My E65 had the Velcro fixings & they were crap. I removed them carefully cut a slot into the carpet (sharp blade & it can’t be seen) and then used the E39 fixings you’ve mentioned.

Held in place well, zero issues

The end of the Velcro tabs look the same.

Looking at mats on eBay some had the circular holes in, which is why I was asking.

Think I’ll give a set ago.

I just cut through the mat pal, it’s a tidy finish if you’re careful
