F30 valvetronic issue

Long story cut short, on holiday in the south of France, car is giving drivetrain malfunction and won’t start. Called out BMW Assist and they diagnosed an issue with the valvetronic system.
It’s a 320i so that would be an N20B20 engine I believe.
A rages around here are too busy/closed for the holidays to fix it.
Looks like the breakdown insurance company will repatriate the car back to the uk, but they want an idea of price to fix first.
I know it could still by a myriad of issues causing the fault but does anyone have a ball park figure of repair costs? I’ve tried calling a couple of garages in the uk but can’t seem to get through to the right people at the moment.
Let’s assume it’s going to require cam cover off, valvetronic motor replacement and reset. Any ideas?

Ps don’t feel too sorry for me, as we are currently in Nice and the weather is lovely.
