V12 7 series maintenance
Discussion
I have noticed a few very low mileage v12 7 series cars from Japan coming over here at very reasonable prices.
Having owned a CL65 AMG which had a V12 which had issues with coil packs and a few other potentially expensive issues I wondered if the BMW V12 had any issues that a potential owner might encounter.
I fully take on board the fact that these were expensive cars to start with and that maintenance could potentially be costly and finding a decent independent will be the first thing to find.
This is just part of my due diligence about deciding if it's worth it so any advice would be appreciated.

Which series (E65, F01 etc)?
The cars coming in are 2004 onwards but there are also the odd later 2010 model comes up at a decent price, so a general idea from say that year upward would be helpful.Having done a bit of research it looks like the F0 1--- seems to be the sweet spot for me.

The E65 for me was a good car, but my 730D had too many niggles for my liking and spent a fair whack of £££ sorting them with BMW & trusted auto-sparkys, for them to come back when least expected!
The F01 is a much better car altogether IMO
