I had issues when I first had comfort seats on a 5 series, I worked out that I was slumping in them and and then using the spilt back rest and padded head restraint to support my bad posture, as soon as I put the back rest straight sat up with shoulders back, my head off the head rest the discomfort went away.

I’ve struggled to get my F11 comfort seats right, which is annoying considering I specifically sought out a car with them. I’m just about getting there, but taken a lot of tweaking and still not convinced they’re better than my E90 sports seats!
This thread has a set up walk though about a third of the way down, might help:

I never liked the Comfort seats in the E24/28 and E34 series cars, much preferring the Sports or Recaro seats. I then bought an E38 with the comforts seats and I find them very, very good except of course for the lateral support the sport bolsters would offer.
It's difficult to imagine why so may original 750i owners ordered sports or comfort seats when the all-conquering Contour seats (basically a sports base and the folding comfort back-rest) were a no-cost option.
I can recall not liking the seats in the E60 but liking the seats (whatever they were - they had decent side bolsters and a leg extension) in the F11 we briefly had as a company car.
