6 series radio being weird

2009 6 series.

So, get in the car after unlocking, and the radio will either hiss or be silent.

If its silent, then no audio will be heard for the duration of that drive.
If it hisses, then the audio will work as normal, EXCEPT there is an underlying hissing noise, and the warning bongs are 150 decibels...

Any ideas, its 50/50 if the audio is gonna work, beginning to really annoy me!

Is it a DSP system or similar; sounds like it's failing to me
