Timing chain or CamBelt.

Hi all.
I could ring my local BMW dealer I suppose, but, would our 2013 328i have a chain or belt.
Also, what would be the replacement time for which ever it is.

A chain.

These can stretch and break the guides and on a 2013, it's not a bad idea to have it all including the troublesome early oil pump chain replaced as well.

Mileage? How long is a piece of string? It's a more widely known problem in the USA but there are more petrols sold there.

Do that, and it's a cracking engine.
