E70 X5 EML: 2F71 & 2A19 Code (ebox fan + tank vent valve)

Hi chaps,
It's only taken a few weeks for the X5 to throw up an EML.
2x codes:
- 2F71: electronics box fan activation
- 2A19: Tank venting valve activation
Erased the codes and it cleared the EML. Came back after a few days. Wife hasn't reported any adverse running issues.
They seem like two separate issues? Could they be linked?
EDIT: I suspect the 2F71 isn't enough to trigger the EML. Probably an incidental issue that comes up on a code read.
I've swapped the fuel caps between the X5 and the 6 to see if that changes anything.
Appreciate any advice anyone can offer.
