Being a taxi driver and always having e class Mercedes.
Im looking for my next car, this time it'll need to be ulez compliant and the 5 series seems a better buy than the e class.
For big miles which one would be best? Which engine and which gearbox?

Lots of decent 530d's are out there, Euro6 is from 2014 upwards. Look for an LCI (facelift) one, but the next generation ones from 2017 are also coming down in price

Lockdown may further lower prices as dealers get desperate to shift stock wink

It's the automatic gearbox, in reality the only automatic gearbox fitted to the F10 (M5 aside). You might as well have been told "make sure it's an automatic".
