i have recently purchased a second hand 420d convertible for 21k before i bought it i noticed the passenger side air bag trim had come apart from the seat
so the garage what i wont name (at the moment ) said they will fix it, went to pick up the car 3 days later the salesman said they have fitted new clips and sorted it so i drove it away so the next day when it was daylight i noticed it had come away again when i Looked there was all dried hot glue where the garage had tried to glue it back to the seat . what do you guys think i should do now. How olds the car, is it reasonable wear and tear? What’s the ideal outcome, replace the whole section of trim?

thats my point why didnt they do that ( replace) in the first place instead of trying to bodge it.

I’d get on to the garage and ask for it to be looked at again as the first attempt (to glue it) has failed.
