F3x 3301 which 2lt engine is it?

[Martyn76]

Hi All,

As above really, been looking at F31 330i and wondered if they come with the newer and better regarded B48 engine?

From what I understand it's a chopped down version of the 3lt B58?

Yes , I reckon so.
But if in doubt , get the car’s VIN and see what build sheet says in decoder.

I’ve driven B48 (new 3 series 320i) back to back with 340i (F31) ; difficult to think they’re related.
