I've recently spotted I have mould or moss growing on my cars sills and was wondering what the best method was of tackling/cleaning this?

Its mainly along the rain channels.

Thanks!

Use a pre-rinse or APC; something like Koch Chemie Greenstar in a decent spray bottle and a detailing brush; this is what I do and I use a full bottle of Greenstar and top the bottle up with water. Works great as a pre-rinse IMO

Spray; let it dwell for a few mins; work it loose with the detailing brush, power wash clean

I agree with all of the above. All I will add is it’s good to add some sealant of sorts. May be AG vinyl and rubber care.

As above, APC and a brush has got rid of the crud that was growing on our E88 seals.

You should have seen the detritus that came out of the wife's Racing Jazz roof seals; and the boot shut, and the rear glass gaps laugh

Before we got the car given to us from her Nana; it rarely got washed. And was always parked next to a large privet hedge...!

It literally ran green whilst I was detailing it rolleyes

Nice. There was a fair chunk of green skank around the boot shut on the 125, but nothing was as bad as the fuel filler flap / filler pot. It was literally furry it was so mouldy. He had to put fuel in it after collecting and when we did, neither of us wanted to touch anything! laugh

Always worth lubing/cleaning rubber seals with silicone oil every few months, keeps it all nice and supple.

What oil do you use?

I have a pray can from H... but find it can work out quite expensive and I'd rather not completely kill the planet.

Used an APC and a soft brush and it worked brilliantly.

Also decided to service the roof, Gummi Pflege on all seals and all drains checked for blockages.

Cheers all!
