its almost been 40 years since E30 was initially produced, it's definitely passed the test of time in all aspects (and it will only get better with time, at least to the eyes).

As a dedicated E30 trimmer (Or whatever you want to call it 'Upholsterer') I just wanted to share pictures of a small project for a ''customer slash friend'' (Not always the best combination Lol'z).

I'll add some before pictures as I go along (Back to front Lol'z Weird) and further to that I'll add more pictures of other parts the inside which i'll be doing. It might just end up as a full blow interior project with the dash.

Anyhow... I would love to see picture of your E30 interior. smile

Loved mine, would never have sold if I'd had a garage when it got a bit tired. The thing I remember most about the interior is pulling out the headlight knob. Idling down a side street on a sunny morning, sunroof open, leather everywhere, steering communicating every detail of the road surface whilst the straight six murmured away, I had an insight it doesn't get better than this.

Miss my E30.

So it definitely brings back good memories. A garage is a must for such cars they are prone to getting stolen (Which is sad).
Unfortunately they are getting hard and harder to buy, unless it's a restoration project would would come at a massive bill and time.

Had 3 E30s, 316, 325i and M3 EVO, simple visceral fun, loads of feedback, compliant chassis, came alive in yur hands, they just dont make them like that anymore, sold the M3 after 2 years as the mileage was getting interstellar, looking back, I should have dry stored it and bought a cheap hack. Brings back some great memories...

Yep, miss my 320 2 door in SE spec with leather. Good, fast enough, comfortable. Sold it when I got a company car. Left the job less then a year later, didnt get another.

It was one of those trim/spec levels which you dont seem to see these days.

I’ve still got my 1991 325i Sport. Bought it in December 1996. It’s a garage queen these days, but still great to drive.

Not sure it’ll ever get sold.

Here’s mine. Bought it summer ‘19 as a slow restoration that I could also enjoy driving in the meantime. Unfortunately covid related slash in income has meant it’s been untouched for some time now. Really hoping I’ll be able to get back to enjoying it soon, this year or next. I get to look at it every time I go outside though which is nice!

I have one in long term dry storage, 1987 325i Sport manual in Dolphin grey. I bought it in 2006, rusty and sans MOT. Little things like this make it worth having, especially when it's worth 10 times what I paid.

DG is a gorgeous colour IMHO.

Looks stunning, beautiful colour.
Best restorations are done slowly and thoughtfully.
Definitely pleasing to the eyes. At least in the middle of this pandemic you have some look to be pleased about.

If you ever update to leather/anything else do let me know. I have great passion on working with E30.

The lockdown has been good for some restoration projects... probably the only full time we will ever have to dedicate in doing what we love doing.

Thank you for showing.
