window bmw f20 winder

[AAAARGH]

Window winder mechanism wires all crumpled with window stuck down.
1 series F20 2 door BMW only 5 years old. Has anyone else had this problem with a car this age?

Yes, but not with the F-series cars, ran a E81 (2 door) and this happened twice, mine was a failed window regulator.

In fact this issue is more common in the 2-door frameless window cars- I presume the F-series still have frameless windows?

Window regulators and constant getting stuck in cold weather, was happy to get back to a 5 door car with proper frames
