Key security. Definitive answer?

The key has a motion sensor and switches itself on the G20. Was this technology ever introduced on the F3X platform? I have read mixed things online. Some say for example an F30 after 2018 has this feature and others say you can have it retrofit by the dealer for £280?!

Is there a definitive answer please?

Not the exact model you are looking for but...
I have a 2017 F85 and I have had motion keys retro-fitted for my car.
Took the dealer about 10 months of faffing about and software updates though!

My dealer has never heard of it. Would you mind sharing which dealership you used at the time please?

Chandlers Brighton. It took a lot of prodding to tell them they should be able to do it, hopefully they've got the hang of it now!
